From Lantern's Hollow:
You may see in a box: all manner of lettuce (romaine, iceberge, oak leaf, butterhead, heirloom types, deep red to vibrant greens), asian greens (tatsoi, pac choi, chinese cabbage, mizuna, mustard greeens and more), escarole and endive, cabbage, radiccio, spinach, kale, swiss chard, arugula, broccoli, cauliflower, broccollinni, caulilinni, turnips, radishes, beets, snap peas, beans, kohlrabi, scallions, unsual greens like mache or amaranth.

More about a CSA and how it works:
When you buy/subscribe to a CSA program you are buying a share of that farm's produce over a given time period. You are also taking on the same risks as the farmer. As in, if there is a crop failure you also loose our box. Though we do everything in our power to prevent this. In return, you get the FRESHEST possible produce and the farm raises up front funds to ensure the next crop. You also get to know the farmer and you know exactly where your food is coming from. We are certified naturally grown, a grassroots alternative to the USDA, through which farmers audit one another for sustainable practices. In CNG production, practices are verified with detailed peer-review inspections annually, instead of mountains of soulless paperwork.

Mushroom Add-On Option:
Enjoy a weekly subscription for 1/2 pound (half share) or 1 pound (full share) of mushrooms from Barnett's Mushrooms, Falconer, NY. Barnett's has gorgeous cultivated and sometimes wild foraged mushrooms and are always sharing recipe ideas and cooking techniques.
